2022 Season
Summary
An incredible 18 teams took part in 2022. A superb comeback after the shortened season of 2021.
The Grand Final was played on Wednesday 17th August. Oddballs defeated Mad Loonies in an exciting match with a good standard of play. Final score was 18.5 / 15.5
The Plate Final took place on Thursday. This was also a great match to watch. Final score 15 / 9, with Hit for Brains the Plate Winners.
The Summer of 2022 was exceptionally hot and dry. This can easily be seen from the brown pitches in the photos. For the first time ever, two days of matches were postponed due to temperatures approaching 40 Celsius!
A total of 3419 rounders were scored.

Chilton Challenge Matches
The two excellent Chilton Challenge matches were a highlight of 2022. These are display matches with players nominated by their teams.
The first of these (RAL vs ROTW Ladies) took place on Monday 8th August. An excellent match, with a close victory to ROTW. Photos of this event can be found here.
The second Chilton Challenge (RAL vs ROTW Men) took place on Thursday 11th August. The teams were neck and neck after the first two innings, ending with another close win for the ROTW team.
